Wild Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe Stream
"Spend a privileged hour in the presence of habituated chimpanzees in the rainforest."
Per person including TANAPA primate tracking permit

Field Experience Overview
Gombe Stream is sacred ground for primatology. Here, Jane Goodall revolutionized human understanding of animal cognition and emotion.
We depart the beach camp at 06:30. Park trackers go out ahead at first light to locate the chimpanzee sleeping nests from the previous evening. When the call comes in over the radio, we hike up the steep valley trail, crossing clear freshwater creeks and pushing through lush jungle vines.
When you encounter the chimps, you slip on a protective face mask and sit quietly five to seven metres away. Watching a mother gently groom her young infant or seeing a magnificent silver-backed male display his power is an experience that stays with you forever.
